Reconstitute in 100 µL of distilled water (final concentration 2 mg/mL) for stock solution.
Dilute the stock solution in 10 mM PBS, pH 7.4 + 1% BSA immediately before use.

Target Information

Ago proteins are broadly expressed in somatic cells and associate with miRNAs, playing key roles in RNA silencing pathways.
Among them, Ago2 uniquely exhibits endonucleolytic “Slicer” activity, enabling miRNA-directed cleavage of target mRNA when base-pairing is perfect.
With partial complementarity, Ago2 represses translation instead of cleavage.
Ago2 is essential in RNA interference, translation repression, and heterochromatin formation, acting as a core element of the RISC complex.
It also functions in Dicer-independent RNA slicing and miRNA maturation regulation.
Over-expression of Ago2 is linked to tumor growth and patient survival, and gene disruption in mice shows its necessity in embryonic and hematopoietic development.
