Target Information
The phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of proteins on serine and threonine residues is essential for regulating various cellular functions such as cell division, homeostasis, and apoptosis.
RIOK3 (RIO kinase 3) is a 519 amino acid serine/threonine protein kinase expressed in multiple tissues. It catalyzes ATP-dependent phosphorylation of target proteins, influencing signaling pathways throughout the cell. Two isoforms are produced due to alternative splicing.
