Target Information
Msx2 is a transcriptional repressor involved in balancing survival and apoptosis of neural crest-derived cells, crucial for craniofacial morphogenesis. It may promote cell growth under certain conditions and serves as an important target for RAS signaling pathways. Mutations in the Msx2 gene are associated with parietal foramina 1 and craniosynostosis type 2.
