Target Information
Interleukin-31 (IL-31)은 최근 발견된 T-cell cytokine으로 IL-6 계열 cytokine과 밀접한 관련이 있으며, 주로 T helper type 2 세포에서 생성됩니다. IL-31은 IL-31 receptor A와 oncostatin M receptor로 구성된 이합체 수용체 복합체를 통해 작용하며, JAK/STAT 및 AKT 신호 경로를 활성화합니다. IL-31 receptor A와 oncostatin M receptor의 RNA는 활성화된 단핵구에서 유도되고, 상피세포에서는 지속적으로 발현됩니다. IL-31의 과발현은 가려움증, 탈모, 피부 병변을 유발하며, 인간에서는 아토피성 피부염과 관련이 있어 새로운 항가려움 치료제 개발의 표적이 될 수 있습니다.
