AAK1 serine/threonine kinase는 NAK family에 속하며, 세포 내 엔도사이토시스 과정에서 조절 역할을 합니다.
이 단백질은 SNF1 subfamily의 Ser/Thr protein kinase로, AP-2 complex의 서브유닛을 인산화하여 수용체 신호 인식 및 엔도사이토시스를 촉진합니다.
AAK1의 kinase 활성은 클라트린(clathrin)에 의해 자극됩니다.
