Target Information

SMC proteins are involved in the proper condensation and segregation of mitotic chromosomes. Four human SMC proteins form two distinct heterodimeric complexes in the cell:

- hSMC1/hSMC3 complex
These complexes are essential for maintaining chromosome structure and function.
