This antibody detects endogenous USP35 protein at a molecular weight of approximately 113 kDa.
Purity is >95% by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
p73 protein is a member of the p53 family of proteins. The tumor-suppressor protein p53 exhibits sequence-specific DNA binding, interacts with various cellular and viral proteins, and induces cell cycle arrest in response to DNA damage.
In response to genotoxic stresses such as UV irradiation or DNA damage, p53 accumulates in the nucleus through post-translational modifications. Activation of p53 leads to cell cycle arrest or apoptosis, preventing proliferation of genetically damaged cells.
Thus, p53-dependent pathways maintain genomic stability by eliminating damaged cells, and high levels of p53 accumulation may serve as a marker for malignancy.
