Target Information
Angiotensinogen (AGT) 단백질은 간에서 발현되며, 혈압이 낮아질 때 renin 효소에 의해 절단되어 angiotensin I을 생성합니다. 이후 ACE(angiotensin converting enzyme)에 의해 angiotensin II로 전환되어 생리적으로 활성화된 효소로 작용합니다.
이 단백질은 혈압 유지 및 본태성 고혈압, 자간전증의 병태생리에 관여하며, AGT 유전자 돌연변이는 본태성 고혈압 감수성과 관련되어 있고, 신세뇨관 형성 장애(renal tubular dysgenesis), 비가족성 심방세동, 염증성 장질환 등과도 연관되어 있습니다.
