Target Information
XRCC6 (Ku70) forms a nuclear complex with Ku80 (~70 and 80 kDa subunits) that functions as a single-stranded DNA-dependent, ATP-dependent helicase. This complex is involved in nonhomologous DNA end repair, including double-strand break repair, transposition, and V(D)J recombination.
High levels of autoantibodies to p70 and p80 are observed in certain patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.
