Target Information
LIMK2는 cofilin의 인산화를 통해 액틴 세포골격 변화를 조절하는 세린/트레오닌 키나아제입니다. 또한 뇌 발달과 관련이 있으며, LIMK1과 LIMK2는 두 개의 N-말단 LIM 모티프와 C-말단 단백질 키나아제 도메인을 가진 소수의 하위 패밀리에 속합니다. LIMK2는 Rho의 하위 인자인 ROCK에 의해 인산화되어 활성화되며, cofilin을 인산화하여 actin 탈중합 활성을 억제합니다. 이 경로는 Rho에 의해 유도되는 actin 세포골격 재구성에 기여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. LIMK2 유전자는 다양한 이소폼을 암호화하는 최소 세 가지 전사 변이체를 가집니다.
