Target Information
A-kinase anchor proteins (AKAPs)은 단백질 kinase A (PKA)의 조절 서브유닛에 결합하여 세포 내 특정 위치에 효소 복합체를 고정시키는 역할을 하는 단백질군입니다.
AKAP12는 endothelial cell, fibroblast, osteosarcoma cell에서 발현되며, protein kinase A, C 및 phosphatase와 결합하여 신호전달의 scaffold 단백질로 기능합니다.
이 단백질은 세포 성장과 관련되어 있으며, myasthenia gravis 환자에서 해당 단백질에 대한 항체가 생성될 수 있습니다.
대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화하는 두 가지 전사 변이가 존재합니다.
