Target Information
RNP2 is a type I integral membrane protein localized to the rough endoplasmic reticulum. It is a component of the N-oligosaccharyl transferase complex, which attaches high mannose oligosaccharides to asparagine residues within the Asn-X-Ser/Thr consensus motif of nascent polypeptides. The protein shares sequence similarity with the yeast oligosaccharyl transferase subunit SWP1.
