Target Information
RPN2 is a type I integral membrane protein localized in the rough endoplasmic reticulum. It is part of the N-oligosaccharyl transferase complex that attaches high mannose oligosaccharides to asparagine residues within the Asn-X-Ser/Thr consensus motif of nascent polypeptide chains. This protein shares sequence similarity with the yeast oligosaccharyl transferase subunit SWP1.
