• In sandwich ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-17, IL-17B, IL-17C, IL-17D, IL-17E, and recombinant mouse IL-17F is observed.
• Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Target Information

IL-17F (Interleukin 17F, CTLA-8) is a cytokine belonging to the IL-17 family, produced by inflammatory cells such as activated T cells, mast cells, and basophils.
It is involved in allergic airway inflammation and induces cytokines, chemokines, and adhesion molecules in epithelial, endothelial, and immune cells.
IL-17F may form homodimers or heterodimers with IL-17A, acting through IL-17R to recruit monocytes and neutrophils by increasing chemokine production.
It also stimulates TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-8, and has been implicated in chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and multiple sclerosis.
IL-17F expression is regulated by TGF-β and IL-23, and it is highly expressed in activated effector memory T cells.
Additionally, IL-17F inhibits angiogenesis and induces endothelial cells to produce IL-2, TGF-β, and MCP-1.
