이 단백질은 androgen receptor (AR)와 상호작용하여, 전립선에서 AR 표적 유전자 발현을 유도하는 공동활성자로 작용할 수 있습니다.
또한 class III ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme (E2s)과 상호작용하여 특정 핵 단백질의 ubiquitination에 관여하는 ubiquitin-ligase (E3)로 작용할 가능성이 있습니다.
다섯 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사체 변이가 보고되었으며, 두 가지 이소폼을 암호화합니다.
