Target Information
This gene encodes one of seven subunits of the human Arp2/3 protein complex. The Arp2/3 complex regulates actin polymerization and is conserved through evolution. The encoded p34 subunit’s exact role remains under investigation. Two alternatively spliced variants have been identified, with others described but not fully characterized.
