Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-17A and recombinant mouse IL-17F is observed.
- Less than 1% cross-reactivity with rmIL-17B, rmIL-17C, rmIL-17D, and rmIL-17E.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
Interleukin-17A (IL-17A, CTLA-8) is a CD4+ T cell-derived cytokine that promotes inflammatory responses and is elevated in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, and transplant rejection.
IL-17A is a 32 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer (136 amino acids) belonging to the IL-17 family (IL-17A–F) and signals through IL-17R/CDw217.
It enhances ICAM-1 expression in fibroblasts and stimulates various cells to secrete IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF, and PGE2.
IL-17A regulates NF-kappa B and MAP kinase activities, stimulates IL-6 and COX-2 expression, and increases nitric oxide production.
