LIN7A는 극성 세포의 세포막에서 채널 및 수용체의 비대칭적 분포를 유지하는 데 중요한 역할을 합니다.
이 단백질은 막 관련 다단백질 복합체를 형성하여 단백질의 막 도메인 전달 및 재활용을 조절할 수 있습니다.
LIN7 (LIN7A, LIN7B 또는 LIN7C), CASK, APBA1로 구성된 삼중 복합체는 뇌에서 시냅스 소포의 방출과 세포 부착을 연결하는 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
또한 GRIN2B (NMDA 수용체의 subunit 2B)의 시냅스 후 밀도에서의 적절한 위치를 보장하며, 베타-카테닌 및 카드헤린에 의해 시냅스에 모집되어 시냅스 소포의 위치를 조절할 수 있습니다.
