Product Specific Information

The MU5UBEE monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD185 (CXCR5, BLR1), a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor originally identified in Burkitt’s lymphoma.
CD185 is expressed on B cells, CD4+ T cells (excluding Th1/Th2), and a subset of memory T cells. In tonsil, CD185+ cells coexpress CD45RO, CD69, and ICOS, supporting B cell help and antibody production.
This receptor is crucial for lymphocyte trafficking, particularly T cell migration into B cell follicles in response to CXCL13, making it a key marker for follicular helper T cells.
The antibody cross-reacts with Rhesus macaque.

Target Information

CXCR5 (C-X-C Chemokine Receptor Type 5, CD185), also known as BLR1, is a G protein-coupled receptor for chemokine BLC. It is expressed in Burkitt’s lymphoma and lymphoid tissues such as lymph node follicles and spleen, playing a key role in B cell migration.

CXCR5 expression has been detected in:

• Human blood and salivary gland
• Animal lymphatic organs, bone marrow, brain, liver, lymph node, spleen, and tonsil

CXCR5 belongs to the GPCR family, characterized by seven transmembrane helices, and is involved in multiple signaling pathways and pharmacological targets.
