Target Information
TBK1 (TANK-binding kinase 1) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the IKK family, involved in NF-κB activation and IRF3 signaling. It acts as a key mediator of immune and inflammatory gene expression. TBK1 phosphorylates IKKβ and activates NF-κB in response to growth factors and PMA, functioning upstream of NIK and the IKK complex. It plays a critical role in protecting embryonic liver from apoptosis.
