CD49b (Integrin alpha 2) 는 integrin family 구성원으로, CD29 (Integrin beta 1)과 결합하여 VLA-2 (Integrin α2β1) 복합체를 형성합니다.
이 복합체는 laminin, collagen, fibronectin과 상호작용하여 세포 내 신호전달을 활성화합니다.
VEGF 유도 혈관신생, 세포 부착 및 림프구 활성화에 관여하며, NK 세포, NK-T 세포, 단핵구, 혈소판, 상피세포 등에서 발현됩니다.
또한 CD4+ T 세포, 장내 림프구, Tr1 세포 등 적응 면역세포에서도 발현됩니다.
