Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
BAMBI (BMP and activin membrane-bound inhibitor homolog, NMA) is a membrane-spanning glycoprotein that acts as a negative regulator of TGF-beta signaling during development.
BAMBI transcription is regulated by beta-catenin, BMP, Smad3, and Smad4. Expression levels increase in colorectal and hepatocellular carcinomas compared to non-cancerous tissues.
It is highly expressed during odontogenesis and coexpressed with Bmp-4 during early Xenopus embryogenesis. BAMBI can also be detected in poorly metastatic human melanoma cell lines.
