Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The SF3A1 gene encodes subunit 1 of the splicing factor 3a protein complex, which includes subunits 1, 2, and 3.
This complex is essential for converting 15S U2 snRNP into an active 17S particle required for pre-mRNA splicing.
Subunit 1 belongs to the SURP protein family, characterized by SURP motifs that mediate RNA binding.
It contains tandem SURP motifs in the N-terminal half and a proline-rich plus ubiquitin-like domain in the C-terminal region.
Binding studies show that SURP motifs are necessary for interaction with subunit 3, while subunit 2 contacts occur through C-terminal sequences.
Alternative splicing generates multiple isoforms.
