Target Information
Translin은 DNA 결합 단백질로, 염색체 전좌의 절단점에서 보존된 표적 서열을 인식합니다. Translin 폴리펩타이드는 다중 구조를 형성하여 DNA 결합 활성에 관여합니다. 재조합 관련 모티프와 translin 결합 부위는 재조합 hotspot에 존재하며, 전좌로 융합된 유전자에서 절단점의 지표로 작용할 수 있습니다. 이러한 결합 활성은 림프종 등의 염색체 전좌 과정에서 중요한 역할을 할 수 있습니다. 최근 연구에서는 Translin이 결합 파트너 Trax와 함께 RNA를 결합하여 뉴런 내 이동을 매개한다는 증거가 제시되었습니다.
