Translin은 염색체 전좌의 절단점 부위에서 보존된 표적 서열을 인식하는 DNA 결합 단백질입니다. 이 단백질은 다중 구조를 형성하여 DNA 결합 활성을 나타내며, 재조합 관련 모티프 및 translin 결합 부위는 재조합 핫스팟에 존재하여 전좌된 유전자 내 절단점을 나타낼 수 있습니다. 이러한 결합 활성은 림프성 신생물에서의 염색체 전좌에 중요한 역할을 할 수 있습니다. 최근 연구에 따르면 Translin은 결합 파트너 Trax와 함께 RNA에 결합하여 뉴런 내 수송을 매개할 수 있습니다.
