Target Information
Xeroderma pigmentosum type G (XPG)는 자외선에 대한 극도의 민감성을 보이는 인간 유전 질환으로, FEN-1 구조 특이적 DNA 복구 엔도뉴클레이스 계열의 단백질이다. XPG는 자외선에 의해 유도된 DNA 손상의 복구에 필수적인 효소로, 뉴클레오타이드 절제 복구 과정에서 3' 절단을 수행한다. 이 효소는 버블 구조 DNA를 절단하며, 인간 XPG의 29-아미노산 영역(981–1009)은 PCNA 결합 활성을 포함한다. Arg992은 PCNA 결합에 중요한 보존된 아르지닌 잔기이다. 또한 RPA는 XPA 및 XPG와 직접 결합하여 손상 인식과 절제 복구 과정에 관여한다.
