Target Information
XPA (xeroderma pigmentosum group A) 단백질은 UV 또는 화학적으로 손상된 DNA 부위를 인식하고, 뉴클레오타이드 절제 복구(nucleotide excision repair) 과정을 유도합니다. XPA는 replication protein A (RPA) 또는 excision repair cross complementing 1 protein (ERCC1)과 결합합니다. 복구되지 않은 DNA 손상은 돌연변이 축적 및 암 발생으로 이어질 수 있습니다. Xeroderma pigmentosum 환자는 햇빛 노출 부위에서 피부암 발생 위험이 2000배 이상 증가합니다.
