This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

The antibody detects ArfGAP3 in cell lysates. BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with human, monkey, and orangutan for ArfGAP3.
Cross-reactivity with ArfGAP3 from other sources has not been determined.

Target Information

The ARFGAP3 gene encodes a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) that associates with the Golgi apparatus and regulates the early secretory pathway of proteins.
It promotes hydrolysis of ARF1-bound GTP, facilitating dissociation of coat proteins from Golgi-derived membranes and vesicles, a prerequisite for vesicle fusion with target compartments.
The activity of this protein is sensitive to phospholipids. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
Originally known as ARFGAP1, this designation now refers to a related but distinct gene.
