Target Information
MOBKL2A (Mps one binder kinase activator-like 2A), also known as MOB-LAK or MOB3A, is a 217-amino-acid protein that regulates kinase activity. It belongs to the MOB1/phocein family and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 19. This chromosome spans approximately 63 million bases and contains over 1,400 genes, representing more than 2% of the human genome. Chromosome 19 is notable for its high gene density and includes numerous immunoglobulin superfamily members such as killer cell and leukocyte Ig-like receptors, ICAMs, CEACAM and PSG family members, and Fcα receptors. It also harbors genes associated with eye and hair color. Several disorders, including Peutz-Jeghers syndrome, spinocerebellar ataxia type 6, CADASIL, hypercholesterolemia, and insulin-dependent diabetes, have been linked to chromosome 19.
