• For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.

Target Information

Cas9 is an RNA-guided DNA endonuclease enzyme associated with the CRISPR (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats) adaptive immunity system in bacteria and genetic engineering.
This system enables targeted modification of DNA sequences via RNA guidance, allowing for indel mutations, sequence insertions, deletions, or rearrangements at desired genomic locations.

Cas9 variants include:

• SpCas9 (Streptococcus pyogenes)
• SaCas9 (Staphylococcus aureus)

SaCas9 offers advantages such as smaller size, high efficiency, nickase activity, and specificity. It recognizes the NNGRRT PAM sequence and cleaves target DNA at rates comparable to SpCas9 with optimal spacer lengths of 20–24 nucleotides.
Due to its compact size, SaCas9 is preferred for all-in-one delivery systems using adeno-associated vectors expressing Cas9 and multiple gRNA cassettes.
