Target Information
LAIR1 (CD305) functions as an inhibitory receptor that negatively regulates the cytolytic activity of NK cells, B-cells, and T-cells. Activation via tyrosine phosphorylation recruits and activates phosphatases PTPN6 and PTPN11. It modulates calcium signaling, cytokine production, and immunoglobulin secretion, and inhibits proliferation and induces apoptosis in myeloid leukemia cell lines. LAIR1 also prevents nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65 (RELA) and phosphorylation of I-κBα (CHUK), thereby inhibiting dendritic cell differentiation.
