This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
This antibody has specificity for Human TRAF4.
Target Information
The tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily consists of several type I integral membrane glycoproteins with homology in their cystine-rich extracellular domains. Members include TNF-RI, TNF-RII, and CD40. Ligands for these receptors can be small secreted proteins such as TNF or type II integral membrane proteins like CD40L. Activation of TNF-R or CD40 can induce nuclear translocation of NFkB. Members of the TRAF (TNF receptor-associated factor) family are involved in this process. Four members have been described: TRAF1, TRAF2, TRAF3, and TRAF4. TRAF4, originally termed CART1, is specifically expressed in breast carcinomas and localized to the nucleus in such tissues.
