Target Information
The poly(A)-binding protein (PABP), complexed to the 3′ poly(A) tail of eukaryotic mRNA, is essential for poly(A) shortening and translation initiation. In humans, the PABP family includes PABP1 (PABPC1), inducible PABP (PABPC4), and PABP3 (PABPC3), along with pseudogenes PABPCP1–PABPCP4.
