PA5-19426 targets TRF2 in IF and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide derived from residues 250–350 of Human TRF2.
PA5-19426 detects TRF2 with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 65 kDa and 69 kDa.
Store antibody at 4ºC for 1–2 weeks; for long-term storage, keep at -20ºC.
Target Information
TRF2 is a ubiquitously expressed protein involved in the control of telomere length. It contains a Myb-related DNA binding motif and binds duplex TTAGGG repeats, localizing to all human telomeres in metaphase chromosomes.
TRF2 helps protect chromosome ends by maintaining telomere terminal structure. Mutant forms of TRF2 have been linked to the prevention of senescence in primary human cells.
Inhibition of TRF2 has been shown to induce apoptosis in certain mammalian cell types.
