Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

This gene encodes a voltage-gated delayed potassium channel related to the Drosophila Shaker channel. The protein has six transmembrane segments, with the S5–S6 loop forming the pore and selectivity filter.
The functional channel is a homotetramer.

  • N-terminus: interacts with beta subunits affecting inactivation and expression levels
  • C-terminus: complexes with PDZ domain proteins for channel targeting
Mutations in this gene are associated with myokymia and periodic ataxia.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
