Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine MIP-1α (CCL3). Anti-Murine MIP-1α (CCL3)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Murine MIP-1α (CCL3) matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Murine MIP-1α (CCL3) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Murine MIP-1α (CCL3) (500-P121Bt) as a detection antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine MIP-1α (CCL3).

Western Blot:
To detect Murine MIP-1α (CCL3) by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Murine MIP-1α (CCL3) is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

MIP-1α and MIP-1β are structurally and functionally related CC chemokines involved in host response to bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal pathogens. They regulate trafficking and activation of inflammatory cells such as macrophages, lymphocytes, and NK cells.
MIP-1α selectively attracts CD8+ lymphocytes, while MIP-1β attracts CD4+ lymphocytes. Both are potent chemoattractants for B cells, eosinophils, and dendritic cells, and are active on human and murine hematopoietic cells.
