Target Information
NEDD4L is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that transfers ubiquitin from an E2 enzyme to targeted substrates. It inhibits TGF-beta signaling by mediating ubiquitination and degradation of SMAD2 and TGFR1. NEDD4L also promotes ubiquitination and internalization of plasma membrane channels such as ENaC, Nav1.x, Kv1.3, EAAT1, and CLC5, as well as degradation of SGK.
