Target Information
The proto-oncogene PIM1 is upregulated in prostate cancer and belongs to the Serine/Threonine protein kinase family. It plays a role in signal transduction in blood cells and may influence chromatin structure or silencing by phosphorylating HP1 gamma/CBX3. PIM1 is primarily expressed in hematopoietic and germ line cells.
