TRIM71은 C. elegans의 heterochronic 단백질 Lin41의 포유류 상동체로, 배아 이후 발달 과정에서 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.

TRIM71은 E3 ubiquitin ligase로서 Dicer 및 Argonaute 단백질(Ago1, Ago2, Ago4)과 상호작용합니다.
