Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C, protected from light, for up to 1 week.
For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).
Target Information
CD172a (signal-regulatory protein alpha) is a receptor-type transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on myeloid-origin cells, including granulocytes, dendritic cells, macrophages, mast cells, and hematopoietic stem cells.
It acts as a substrate for activated tyrosine kinases such as EGFR, PDGFR, src, and insulin receptor, involved in negative regulation of receptor tyrosine kinase-coupled signaling.
Binding of CD172a to CD47 induces phosphorylation of ITIM motifs, recruiting SHP-1 and SHP-2 phosphatases that regulate cellular function via substrate dephosphorylation.
This interaction is implicated in processes such as inhibition of macrophage phagocytosis and bi-directional activation of T cells and dendritic cells.
