Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Clathrin coat assembly protein AP180 is encoded by the SNAP91 gene in humans. Adaptins are components of adapter complexes that link clathrin to receptors in coated vesicles. Clathrin-associated protein complexes interact with cytoplasmic tails of membrane proteins, facilitating their selection and concentration. Binding of AP180 to clathrin triskelia induces assembly into 60–70 nm coats.
