Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Sheep, Rat, and Mouse.
Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies.
While functionally similar to polyclonal antibodies—recognizing multiple epitope sites and providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets—Superclonal™ antibodies maintain lot-to-lot consistency due to their defined recombinant composition.
Note: Formerly called “Recombinant polyclonal antibody”; now rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ antibody”. The product and performance remain unchanged.
Target Information
14-3-3 epsilon belongs to the 14-3-3 protein family, which mediates signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. This conserved family is found in both plants and mammals, with this protein being 100% identical to the mouse ortholog.
It interacts with CDC25 phosphatases, RAF1, and IRS1 proteins, implicating it in cellular processes such as cell division and insulin sensitivity regulation. It has also been associated with the pathogenesis of small cell lung cancer. Two transcript variants—one protein-coding and one non-coding—have been identified for this gene.
