Product Specific Information

This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Advantages:

  • Better specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

This antibody has specificity for Human CD19.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells defined by expression of kappa or lambda light chains. CD19 is also found on myeloid leukemia cells, particularly those of monocytic lineage.

CD19 acts as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR) and can also signal independently. It is a central regulatory component in B cell proliferation and differentiation. Mutations in the CD19 gene can result in hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
