Target Information
MIG, also known as CXCL9, is a T-cell chemoattractant inducible by gamma interferon and a member of the CXC chemokine family. This gene is mapped to 4q21. Chemokines are known for their chemotactic activity, but they also influence T-cell activation, angiogenesis, and HIV infection. Unlike most CXC chemokines that attract neutrophils, MIG and INP10 are unique in attracting lymphocytes and being inactive toward neutrophils.
