Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody 439-9B recognizes human CD104 (integrin beta 4), a 202 kDa subunit that associates with integrin alpha 6 (CD49f) to form the laminin receptor. Expression occurs in epithelial and tumor cells and is involved in cell-matrix and cell-cell interactions. CD104 plays a key role in tumorigenicity.
This antibody crossreacts with bovine and is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Tested using A549 cell line at ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration is recommended for best assay performance.
eFluor® 660 replaces Alexa Fluor® 647, emits at 659 nm, and is excited by the red laser (633 nm). Ensure instrument compatibility.
Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 668 nm; Laser: Red Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.


Target Information

Integrins are heterodimeric transmembrane glycoprotein receptors composed of alpha and beta subunits. They mediate cell-matrix and cell-cell adhesion and regulate gene expression and growth. The integrin beta 4 subunit serves as a laminin receptor and associates with the alpha 6 subunit, playing a critical role in invasive carcinoma biology.
Mutations in the gene encoding integrin beta 4 are linked to epidermolysis bullosa with pyloric atresia. Multiple splice variants exist, encoding distinct isoforms.
