Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody 1A8-Ly6g reacts with mouse Ly-6G (Gr-1), a 25-kDa GPI protein expressed exclusively by neutrophils. Ly-6G is associated with neutrophil infiltration, recruitment, and migration, and interacts with B2 integrins CD11a and CD11b.
Unlike RB6-8C5, 1A8-Ly6g binds specifically to Ly-6G on neutrophils and can be used to deplete neutrophils, showing antagonist activity.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes (≤0.5 µg/test).
A test is defined as staining a cell sample in 100 µL volume (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Careful titration recommended for optimal performance.

Target Information

Ly6G (Lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus G6D) is part of the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr-1, together with Ly6C.
Ly6G (21–25 kDa) is expressed by myeloid-derived cells in bone marrow and serves as a marker for neutrophils, monocytes, and granulocytes.
Expression correlates with granulocyte differentiation and maturation.
Studies indicate Ly6G involvement in anti-tumor response and inhibitory effects on local immune responses.
