MYO1C는 비전형적 미오신 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 액틴 기반의 분자 모터 역할을 합니다. 세포질에 존재하며, 고유한 N-말단을 가진 아이소폼은 핵에서도 발견됩니다. 핵 내 아이소폼은 RNA polymerase I 및 II와 결합하여 전사 개시 과정에 관여합니다. 마우스 상동 단백질은 세포 내 소포를 세포막으로 운반하는 기능을 수행합니다.
