This peptide corresponds to 15 amino acids near the carboxy terminus of human TEM2.
PEP-0555 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-20438.

Target Information

Rhes, also known as tumor endothelial marker 2 (TEM2), is a small GTP-binding protein predominantly expressed in the striatal region of the brain. This protein belongs to the RASD subfamily of Ras-related GTP-binding proteins and is thought to play a role in brain development and function. Mice lacking this gene show increased anxiety and motor coordination deficits.

Rhes was identified as TEM2 through analysis of genes upregulated in tumor endothelium. Tumor endothelial markers are significantly upregulated during angiogenesis and neoangiogenesis, processes crucial for solid tumor growth. TEMs localized on the cell surface and conserved across species are of particular interest for anti-angiogenic therapy development.
