Target Information
STAT5 alpha는 STAT 전사인자 패밀리의 구성원으로, 사이토카인 및 성장인자에 의해 활성화되어 핵으로 이동해 전사 활성화 기능을 수행합니다. IL2, IL3, IL7, GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin 등 다양한 리간드의 반응을 매개하며, TEL/JAK2 유전자 융합과 관련된 종양 발생에도 중요한 역할을 합니다.
STAT5 alpha는 BCL2L1/BCL-X(L) 발현을 유도하여 항아폽토시스 기능을 가지며, STAT5 beta와 함께 다양한 조직에서 공발현됩니다. 두 단백질은 96%의 아미노산 서열 유사성을 가지며, 생식, 수유, 면역 기능, 성장 등 다양한 생리적 과정에 관여합니다.
