Claudin-1은 세포 간 밀착연접(tight junction)에 위치한 막단백질 패밀리인 클라우딘(claudins)의 구성원으로, 간세포 내 HCV 진입의 공동수용체로 작용합니다. Claudin-1은 방광, 난관, 간, 췌장, 전립선, 피부 등 대부분의 조직에서 발현되며, 상피세포의 극성을 유지하는 데 중요한 역할을 합니다.
